Washing & Care Guide

HOW TO WASH

To maintain the longevity and appearance of your LuniCouture pieces, we recommend dry cleaning for the first 1–3 washes, especially for delicate or structured items. For cotton garments, wash in cold water to minimize shrinkage. When laundering coloured fabrics, wash separately to prevent dye transfer. Keep dehydration cycles short to reduce wrinkling, and lay garments flat or in the shade to air dry.

Please note that LuniCouture is not responsible for any damage resulting from improper care or handling. Items damaged due to washing negligence are not eligible for return or exchange.

COTTON

  • Recommended: Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent.
  • If machine washing, use a laundry net and close all zippers and buttons. Hand washing is strongly encouraged to preserve shape and color.
  • Avoid soaking. Dry in the shade to prevent discolouration and fabric stress.

LINEN

  • Recommended: Dry clean for the first wash.
  • Hand wash with mild detergent for future washes. For embellished items (e.g., lace or embroidery), gently soak in lukewarm water and handle with care. Dry flat in the shade.

WOOL

  • Recommended: Dry cleaning is strongly advised due to potential shrinkage.
  • If washing at home, use fabric softener and avoid twisting. Dry in a well-ventilated area. Dust off shoulders and seams regularly with a soft brush.

KNIT

  • Recommended: Dry cleaning is ideal to maintain structure and prevent stretching.
  • If hand washing, use lukewarm water with wool shampoo. Gently press—do not wring. Lay flat to dry on a clean towel.

RAYON

  • Recommended: Dry clean first. Then, hand wash gently in lukewarm water with neutral detergent.
  • Rayon is delicate when wet—prone to tearing and distortion. Avoid soaking. Always close fasteners before washing.

POLYESTER / ACRYLIC / CHIFFON

  • Recommended: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a neutral detergent.
  • Wash separately to avoid colour transfer. These fabrics may attract static or wrinkle if not handled gently. Close all zippers and buttons before washing. Dry away from sunlight.

LEATHER / SUEDE / FUR / CASHMERE / SILK

  • Recommended: Always opt for professional dry cleaning for these luxurious and sensitive materials.
